PeopleSoft Administrator Location: Arizona Duration: 6+ Months The individual in this role will support, design, develop, and test all PeopleSoft applications, in-scope customizations, interfaces, and conversions. Skills include strong Application Engine and SQL, Application Designer, PeopleCode, JavaScript, XML/XSLT. Minimum 4 years PeopleSoft experience with participation in PeopleSoft 9.1 projects in the technical/application development area. Excellent knowledge of PeopleTools and related technologies. Excellent and thorough understanding of PeopleSoft development cycle and procedures. Excellent application troubleshooting skills. Understanding Application Engine and PeopleSoft tracing. Design technical spec for customization; build customization and testing for customization. (1) Actively and visibly seek knowledge and understanding of the operational environment, priorities and processes to support a system availability of seven days a week, 24 hours a day. System availability requirements are >99%. Manages changes and negotiations. (2) Communicates issues openly, honestly and timely with peers, management and clients. (3) Delivers quality results on time and within budget. Simplifies or eliminates low value added work processes to assist in the conservation of corporate resources. Effectively prioritizes own work and manages time spent based on priorities. (4) Identifies and plans for training needed to support current business and technical environment. Actively seeks to improve own skills and knowledge to apply to current and emerging business and technical environment. May coach and train team members. (5) Leads the development of effective operational configuration plans. Performs and directs mainframe/network performance tuning to provide acceptable response time and through put for applications. Responsible for quality-assurance reviews and evaluations. (6) Performs all phases of delivery and maintenance of system software, sub-system software or peripheral software. Balances business requirements and preferred technical architecture to provide effective information systems solutions. (7) Performs all work in a safe manner, appropriate to the work environment. Notices and takes action on all unsafe conditions when observed. Actively encourages safe work practices. (8) Resolves complex problems by interpreting dumps and system traces using knowledge of operating system internals and solid problem isolation/resolution methodologies. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a BS/BA equivalency or any combination of four years relevant work experience and completed years of relevant college coursework. An additional six (6) years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating expert knowledge of distributed or mainframe systems.
