SharePoint Developer (5 yrs of experience required) Description: The Morgan
Stanley SharePoint Engineering team is responsible for the build of the
SharePoint platform for firm wide collaboration as well as application
hosting & development, both internal and external.

Besides providing platform expertise, we offer economies of scale and ease
of management by creating management & SDLC tools, APIs and other services
for easy deployment of critical applications.

A lot of our work involves enhancing the vendor offering, filling gaps and
influencing the future roadmap of the product with the vendor. We seek a
senior SharePoint engineer with a strong understanding of SharePoint as
well as the underlying components and OS.

Extensive experience in designing and implementing SharePoint/IIS/ASP.NET
web infrastructure. Candidate must be very hands-on with deep understanding
of the Windows infrastructure and framework (e.g. knowledge of IIS
metabase, experience http handlers, understanding of custom providers etc.)
and networking concepts.

Must demonstrate skills to design, engineer and code for performance and
scale in near zero fault tolerant environments.

Must be able to troubleshoot and debug problems at the application level to
the underlying OS.The candidate will be responsible for the design,
engineering and rollout of the SharePoint platform by addressing key
deficiencies, integration with other systems, solution development along
with application design.



Required Skills:[-]



Strong C#, ASP.Net & PowerShell skills[-] Strong SharePoint fundamentals
including out of the box web parts, lists, content types, workflows,
templates, site admin tasks and master pages.[

Excellent understanding of web technologies; Experience with
JavaScript/HTML and CSS[-]

Experience in reorganizing and restructuring the contents of the site.

 [-] Ability to evaluate business requirements; map them to SharePoint 2010
out of the box features.

Knowledge on SharePoint permissioning assessment and re permissioning[-]
Hands-on experience in resolving migration issues specific to each site

 [-] Provide planning, implementation, and administration for SharePoint
2010 instance[-]

Experience with integrating vendor application on SharePoint

 [-] Understanding of SharePoint administration including management of
service applications ? User profile Service, Search, etc

Understanding of SharePoint administration including management of web
applications, site collection administration, solution deployment, and
backup/restore via Central Administration and PowerShell

Relational database and operating systems experience with MS SQL database,
integration and reporting solutions to be integrated with the SharePoint
farm

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2008/2012 development

Must have expert level SharePoint application support and development
knowledge

Able to understand SharePoint Designer workflows and document possible
workarounds[-] Able to do SharePoint Administration tasks.
