*Job Summary:*

The Agile Coach will be responsible for coaching and mentoring business and
IT resources at both the team and program levels, including Scrum Masters,
Product Owners and executives to leverage agile principle, practices and
frameworks in order to deliver high value business capabilities.
The Agile Coach serves as a subject matter expert on Agile frameworks
(Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc) and on scaling agile development, including the
use of scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS).  Embraces servant leadership and
displays behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with
being agile.
This position requires deep knowledge and experience with Agile and to be
able to apply and adapt thinking practices to various situations as a Coach.

*Requirements:*

- Expert professional coach, facilitator, mentor, trainer and consultant.
- Coach and mentor business and technology resources on their respective
agile responsibilities as well as how to be effective in agile roles
- Coach a strategy for execution alignment to provide working software.
- Provides hands-on coaching of scrum teams in all aspects of scrum
(facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint demo and
retrospective meetings, backlog grooming, daily routines,
self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, managing flow,
calculating velocity, limiting work in progress, etc)
- Concentration on developing execution leaders (RTE and Scrum Masters) and
closely partnering with the Product Owner(s) and Tech Leads to guide the
value stream.
- Establish program level cadence and drive program level ceremonies (e.g.
PI Planning, Product Management Council, Scrum of Scrums, release train
retrospectives, HIP Sprint)
- Work with other program leaders to drive the definition and refinement of
the program backlog
- Ensure cross-value stream coordination and collaboration
- Serve as an escalation for impediment removal for Scrum Masters and
scrum  teams
- Assesses the maturity of the team and organization and coaches the team
to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and appropriate
for the team and organization
- Reviews current agile processes, drives process improvements and
challenges team to innovate
- Coach agile engineering best practices such a test driven development
(TDD), DevOps, continuous integration (CI) and test  automation
- Facilitates discussion, decision making, an conflict resolutions
- Work well with other coaches and consultants
- Remains informed about industry trends and best practices concerning
agile methodologies and advances those best practices in the organization

*Qualifications:*

- 7-10 years of application development experience in leadership roles
- 5+ years of experience coaching various agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum,
Kanban, XP, etc)
- 3+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master, Product Owner
- Experience *working on large scale, multiple scrum team projects*
- Experience working with enterprise PMO's to blend waterfall and agile
portfolio reporting for senior management
- Familiar with Agile framework support tools like VersionOne, Rally, JIRA,
TFS, Lean-Kit, etc
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with
team members, support personnel and clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to collaborate with other coaches and Scrum Masters
- Knowledge and/or experience with agile engineering practices and
techniques such as User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration,  Continuous
Deployment, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Communicative and social - Must be able to clearly interact with teams
- Facilitative - Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles
to a team
- Assertive - Must  be able to ensure Agile / Scrum concepts and principles
are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make
the tough calls
- Ability to travel between the regional offices and the home office on a
frequent basis.

*Education:*

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a
directly related field; Master's Degree preferred
- *One of more Agile certifications (e.g. CSM, PMI-ACP, SPC4, CSC, ICP-ACC)
required. Scaled Agile certifications highly desireable.*
