Provides 7/24 problem management and resolution for all supported web applications. Under the general supervision of the Web Services team leader, the incumbent will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the internet/ internet sites for the UC San Diego Health. The programmer will develop applications that can integrate with SharePoint sites and/or link to external data sources via XML or UCSD data warehouse feeds with ASP.Net (C#). The Web Programmer applies a strong understanding of Windows SharePoint Services, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2013 and related technologies in the Microsoft stack. The Web Services Web Programmer will have a working knowledge of the n-tier web environment with programming experience in ASP.Net. An understanding of HTML is required along with experience with tools like Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server and SharePoint Designer. Incumbent will possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation and accountability. Incumbent will have the knowledge and ability to prioritize workload and shift responsibilities as priorities change. With minimal direction from the team leader, incumbent will take requests that come in to the Internet Services department, and be able to see them through to completion. These requests will range from simple changes to a web page to the creation of a web application with a backend DB. With minimal direction from the team leader, incumbent will also assist in maintaining current systems, managing upgrades/releases, monitoring system availability and performance and help perform upgrades when needed. Incumbent will provide 7/24 problem management and resolution for all the web sites and server infrastructure. *Qualifications:* Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience developing in .Net required. Experience with IIS & Server 2008 required and IIS v7, Server 2012, SQL 2012 a “plus". Experience working with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. Administrative support of a SharePoint environment is a plus Understanding of SQL and knowledge of relational database concepts, including writing Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc. Experience with Microsoft development tools, including but not limited to, Visual Studio 2008/2010/2012, and/or SharePoint Designer. Demonstrated experience and proven expertise in problem-solving and debugging techniques. Excellent written and oral communication skills Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to plan and organize day-to-day activities along with short and long-term projects.
