Start Date: 9/2/2008 Description: The Treasury Department has several applications that need immediate analysis and programming skills. The candidate will be expected to be self-directed while reporting to a Treasury PM. Complete Description: Examples of projects requiring assistance are: The USPS has expanded bar code requirements for pre-sorted mail. Treasury is required to add a unique, Treasury identifier, to each bar coded piece of mail. As part of this project the process for generating the correct bar code needs to be re-engineered. Staff competency for this engagement includes: SQL 2000 and SQL 2005, .net programming and web services. Programming new functionality to allow the auditing staff to recycle multiple payments at one time and view multiple documents online will require .asp, c#, .net and TSQL (transaction SQL) programming skills. The user interface (.asp) needs revised to support electronic replies to outside entities. Need a supporting documentation solution for Fiscal Review. Currently paper documents are submitted to Fiscal Review. Treasury needs an interim solution for associating the paper documents with individual payments. A department-wide ECM is planned but this solution is needed immediately as agencies transition to newer disbursement inputs to Treasury. Competencies should include .net, SQL and .asp. Database upgrade from SQL2000 to SQL2005. Treasury has approximately 36 databases that need converted to SQL2005. Competencies in DTS, SSIS and VB.net are needed for this engagement. Knowledge of SQL 2005 security and schema requirements for migrating from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005.
