Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

Position Description: Senior Database DB2/UDB SQL Programmer with solidunderstanding of the DB2 internals. This role can potentially scale to India to manage 1-2 people in India.
Position Tasks:
*Design, Program, maintenance, and technical support of Stored Procedures and SQL Scripts.
* Problem resolution, database, configuration, capacity planning, and performance tuning of SQL and Stored Procs,
* Perform day to day database operations and analysis of the tables, indexes, and tablespaces. Perfrom feasibility tufdies and cost estimates in response to user requests. Administer the technical design, testing, and implementation of all databases. Ensure test procedures are defineed, documented, and implemented.
* Ensure backup procedures are defined, documented, and implemented for database recoveries (must work with production DBA on this).
* Perform determination and trouble shooting of technical problems with the database.
Skill Required:
*6-8 years experience in database SQL programming.Strong experience with DB2/UDB internals and programming
* Strong analytical skills. Experience working in the Lynix operating system and related utilities. Ability to work independently.
*Strong problem with determination resolution skills.
* Ability to prepare, present oral and written reports, recommendations and to perform necessary research or investigations. Excellent work history and attendance record. Strong verbal and written communication skills
