We need strong Microsoft System Engineers for our client in Boston. THis has the potential to be a 12 month contract with possible extensions. Client is migrating from Novell to Microsoft. Experience with this type of migration and superior Active Directory and Exchange skills are necessary. Client will be interviewing on- site in Boston one week from Tuesday. We will be sending our top 3 candidates.
The client is converting their Network from Novell to Microsoft. The right candidate will have done this before. Their are about 1000+ end users. Strong technical background and PM experience are necessary. Project is expected to last 6-12 months, with possible extensions. Senior Engineer with an extensive background in all areas of MS Exchange and Active Directory (Clustering, monitoring, backup, replication, recovery, capacity planning, metrics/trending/traffic reporting, performance tuning, et al), responsible for the design, implementation and support of the entire Enterprise Messaging Environment, based on Microsoft Exchange Server 200X. Possess expert-level skills in the design, development and implementation of advanced, enterprise-class AD and Exchange architectures, as well as associated business process analysis and documentation Ensure the reliability, performance, security, and high availability of the messaging server clusters and systems environment Be the point of escalation for complex AD and Exchange issues Have a solid understanding of the Windows kernel, registry, network services Have the ability to define, prioritize, schedule, and monitor technical projects Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation Experience with build automation, patch management, automated deployments and packaging Experience with email archiving Experience with Microsoft Cluster Services Experience with anti-spam, anti-virus products In depth knowledge migrating from a Novell eDirectory , Groupwise environment to an AD Exchange 2007 infrastructure. Actively participate in the planning, design, and implementation of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange systems, infrastructure and related hardware for customers. This includes but not limited to: Following life-cycle oriented processes and procedures. · Implementing test plans, migration plans, and delivery plans · Network and application troubleshooting. · Prepare design documents and presentations.
