Position: UltiPro Developer

Duration: 4-6 weeks, could go longer

Location: Dallas, TX

Rate: Open

 

Summary:

Will be responsible for the design and development of our HRIS/Payroll systems 
in reference to the creation of import/export scripts to/from our 2009 Benefit 
vendors.

 

Skills:

Must have basic understanding of table structures in UltiPro/SQL 2005 (ability 
to write SQL server stored procedures)

5 - 10 years programming and analysis experience

5+ years developing and maintaining HRIS applications; 2 years of that 
experience must be with UltiPro

Cognos IWR and Impromptu experience

SQL Server development and performance tuning experience

Experience utilizing a structured software development life cycle approach, 
including a deep understanding of standard software development practices

Technical design and analysis experience

Experience with documentation of formal functional and technical design 
specifications

Experience with modification of processes workflows embedded within the web 
self-service capabilities of UltiPro

Interface mapping and development experience

Upgrade and/or data conversion experience

Project lead and coordination experience

Experience utilizing MS Project or other similar planning tool for development 
of project plans and tracking of actual progress against plans

Experience/use of one or more software version control applications (Source 
Integrity, PVCS, etc.)

EDI experience

Ability to design or redesign business processes to fully utilize available

Familiarity with development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of 
technical support procedures

Strong skills related to hardware configurations and troubleshooting

Duties:

Perform analysis, design, development, testing, and migration activities 
necessary to implement user requested enhancements to HRIS applications.

Assist with configuration and usability issues reported by the users, to 
include the design/redesign of new business processes that optimize the 
standard functionality provided by the HRIS applications.

Consults with user(s) to identify current operating procedures, clarify 
requirements, and offer solution recommendations/suggestions.

Evaluates users' requests for new or modified computer programs to determine 
feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and 
computer capabilities.

Formulates plan, outlining steps required to develop program, using structured 
analysis and design.

Prepares flowcharts and design documentation to illustrate sequence of steps 
program must follow and to describe logical operations involved.

Submits design and user acceptance documents to user(s) for formal approval.

Troubleshoots and corrects complex bugs or issues (including performance 
issues) reported by the user community.

Conducts analysis and provides assistance with the application of patches and 
upgrades as necessary to maintain a current HRIS environment.

Actively participates in code reviews and quality control testing, providing 
team guidance toward acceptable, thorough solutions.

Converts project specifications, using flowcharts and diagrams, into sequence 
of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding, applying knowledge of 
computer programming techniques and computer languages.

Develops documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, unit 
testing and corrections.

Develops user manuals/instructions (as required) and educates users to use new 
or modified processes.

Monitors performance of system related processes.

May participate in IT committees responsible for coding standards, research of 
potential new solutions to meet evolving business needs, 
evaluation/recommendation of performance improvements, recommendation of 
software architectural directions, and/or identification of potential business 
process improvements.

May participate in system administration activities.
