Send me only matching resumes on [EMAIL PROTECTED] Position: Software Engineer II Location: Pittsburg, PA Duration: 6 Months Rate: DOE Job Summary The primary function of the Software Engineer II - Data is to design, develop and test Oracle objects associated with application enhancements. This includes features and projects that are medium to large and where the requirements may not be very well defined and designs may not exist. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintains existing stored procedures and triggers as well as create new ones. Occasionally identifies innovative solutions to technical or customer related problems under direction of others. Create supporting documentation for the database (i.e. design documents). Debugs stored procedures and triggers and fixes defects uncovered during the testing process. Works with other software/applications engineers, QA engineers, technical writers, and Infrastructure team members, as needed, to ensure the quality and the successful rollout of new applications or features. Write ad-hoc queries as requested thru a service request. Provides post-release software and application support, including incident reporting. Sometimes mentors other data developers. Accomplishes all of the above in accordance with standard procedures. Works with the DBA on database performance and optimization. All other duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience 4+ years experience in software or applications engineering and/or technical operations Work and/or academic experience with an Oracle Database using any of the following: PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Triggers, Tables and Indexes Performance tune PL/SQL Queries Oracle 10g Data Modeling using Erwin Linux and Windows Experience with day-to-day database administration responsibilities SQL Server experience a plus Effective in fast paces environment Collaborative/enjoys working in teams Self starter/motivator Creative and effective problem solving skill Ability to work on/manage multiple tasks concurrently Thanks & Kind Regards Anju SRI Systems Inc. 2, Austin Ave. Iselin, NJ.
