We have an opening for....... Position: SAP Validation Engineer Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ Duration: 6 Months Validation Engineers-6 months initially (Project duration is 4 years) Client stressed that they need candidates and someone to start ASAP. They prefer local candidates but will look at H1s that are good with staying for a long time and can't go home every weekend. This is a problem they've run into in the past (So please screen thoroughly). Responsibilities Partnering with the process team and IT personnel and driving user requirements. Review documents and give approval on them. Making sure that all user requirements are translated into business requirements. Also, dealing with compliance issues as it relates to CFR part 11, as well as SOX issues and compliance. Must Have Skills 1. Subject Matter Expert in SDLC validation. a. Validation experience for applications is required. b. Validation experience for infrastructure (hardware, network, database, and middleware) is desired. 2. Excellent communication skills. a. Must be able to clearly convey subject matter expertise to business end users and IT associates. b. Ability to comfortably present information to a large group as well as create concise and informative written communication. c. Must be able to handle push back from end users, in a respectful and non-combative manner. Ability to influence others is a key skill. d. Must freely communicate issues or potential risks to Validation team swiftly and responsibly. Understanding of responsible communication is key. 3. Prior experience performing system's validation in regulated industries (i.e. pharmaceutical / device manufactures). 4. Prior experience writing, reviewing and/or approving SDLC validation deliverables throughout all phases of a system implementation. 5. Extensive knowledge of Part 11 Requirements. a. Must be able to demonstrate practical application of Part 11 requirements into system design and associated validation deliverables. 6. Prefer candidates with a working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Regulations, and prior experience ensuring the validation efforts mitigate potential SOX risks. 7. Prior experience with SAP as an end user, developer, or validation support is required. 8. Flexible work style is essential as candidate will be partnering with multiple teams and working on an array of projects at any given time. a. Must easily transition from one project / task to the next. b. Must have the ability to successfully partner with a multitude of personality types. 9. Candidate must strive to interject quality into all tasks and deliverables assigned, without sacrificing timelines and customer good will. a. Must have ability to develop creative solutions that maintain compliance to policies and procedures and still meet project/user goals. Nice to have skills Previous experience validating multiple modules of SAP 4.7 or ECC 6.0 is a strongly desired, but not required. Candidates with prior experience performing systems audits for compliance to SDLC methodology and regulatory requirements are preferred. Phone screen followed by in person interview.
