Job title : Senior Business Systems Analyst with data modeling experience Location : San Francisco , CA Contract Length : 6 Months Job Description: We are looking for a senior business systems analyst with data modeling experience to perform a detailed technical analysis of the data requirements of the banks critical business processes. EBS (Enterprise Business Services) builds and maintains a set of reusable business services that are used by the major front-end applications at the bank including internet banking, the branches, and call centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and understanding the data sources used by these business services. They will create logical data models describing how the data from various sources could be integrated into a centralized Operational Data Store. They will document data transformation and loading specifications showing the control flow and business rules associated with both batch ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) and incremental data updates to this centralized store. They will specify requirements for accessing the centralized store that could replace the existing data access paths in the business services. Responsibilities require someone with an excellent understanding of best practices in technical requirements gathering and documentation. The detailed level of technical analysis required will involve working with architects, analysts and senior technical resources from many other applications in the bank. The analyst will also: conduct review meetings on the documentation they produce with various audiences; be expected to explain technical data structures in business terms; and work on many concurrent projects each at different stages of the project lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications . Skills: Minimum 6 to 8 years of business systems analysis experience working in a technical environment. . Understanding of Enterprise Application Integration systems that integrate data from distributed sources. . Knowledge of data modeling; producing Entity-Relationship diagrams. . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. . Proven experience at working effectively with other technical teams. Preferred Skills . Understanding of relational database Stored Procedure Languages (Oracle preferred). . Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes and tools. . Experience with event driven/messaging technologies. . Knowledge of retail banking systems and business processes.
