Our client is in need of a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator
for a 3 years project in the Sacramento
area.
Required:
-Knowledge of and experience with SQL Server and related
tools
-Experience in mentoring database
administrators
-Knowledge of and experience with SQL Server
Clusters
-Experience as a
DBA for Microsoft's SQL Server 2000 and 2005 in both clustered and
non-clustered
environments
Highly Desirable:
• Experience as a DBA for Microsoft's SQL Server
2008
• Create, modify, and tune databases and
files
• Overall performance tuning
• Database and file sizing and
monitoring
• Problem resolution as required in providing 24x7
support
• System documentation
• Database design review
• Storage management
• Production monitoring
• Backup and recovery
• Other database administration related
duties
Preferred:
• SQL Server Reporting
Services
• Windows 2003
• TOAD (for SQL Server)
• SQL Server encryption
• Familiarity with cross domain
networks
• Familiarity with n-tier architecture
