Data Analyst Location: NY
Duration: 6months Rate: $50/hr CTC Locals are Preferred PS then F2F Have 5+ years experience in the development execution and review of UAT / System testing RDBMS querying abilities is needed- SQL Advanced Visio, PowerPoint experience required Some knowledge of ERP solutions (e.g.: SAP) and/or Financial packages Strong analytical background; independent thinker , self starter Able to conduct analysis and interview sessions with users and stakeholders independent of direct supervision. Able to work with all levels of business and technical staff independently. Strong written and oral communications skills Business Object Modeling or Data Modeling experience. Subject matter expertise in Finance and Accounting and Insurance (financial booking & reporting ) systems with Reinsurance a plus Advanced insurance (at minimum 5+ years) and/or reinsurance background is preferred (across Property / Casualty lines) Aware of adherence to Sarbanes Oxley controls and SDLC lifecycle methodologies MS office experience. Analyze business needs via interviews and meetings with the business for system functionality additions and/or changes. A formal business requirements document should be a by-product. Good understanding of data, data flows, documenting the same Good understanding of insurance/reinsurance business and put together documentation in support of analysis - process flows, user manuals Work on projects with a narrow to moderately wide (country, regional, worldwide) exposure involving one to multiple systems. Support PM in coordinating, communicating project plans, and deliverables across both business and systems environments. With minimal supervision, analyze and define business requirements and develop system specifications to solve business problems. Use business knowledge to develop systems documentation and support the system development life cycle from design through implementation. Involvement in test case development and execution Develop UAT plans. Provide analysis and feedback during the testing phase(s) that results in proficient testing scenarios, positive software development and user acceptance and signoff.
