Represent the business community in analyzing and documenting business processes, identifying opportunities for improvements / enhancements, and negotiating agreements and commitments between business unit(s) and IT/CD from requirements gathering to final implementation and maintenance. Recommend what process change initiatives should be pursued and how those changes should be carried out (on a strategic or conceptual level). For more complex or high-risk projects (those having larger scope, high costs, high risks, greater number of interdependencies, significant cultural change or change in practice, difficult nature of the client relationship), They may become more actively involved in defining and carrying out the tactical work. They provide input to SLAs, scope documents, proposals, etc. They interact with and present information to senior level, more sophisticated audiences. They identify and monitor industry trends in the client?s organization and understand and anticipate impact of legislation on business unit. Proactively consult on large-scale change initiatives, oversee multi-departmental, complex projects and change initiatives, provide design feedback on multiple components of a system, and look across systems for interactions points. They monitor status of projects and work with others to address issues raised. They are heavily involved in customer communications. They review and edit test scripts, certify that test results fulfill business requirements, and evaluate quality of test team (if that is the practice / expectation for their department). They conduct post-implementation monitoring and evaluation. They may develop and deliver training and communications (if that is the practice / expectation for that department) and act as a mentor Need solid industry knowledge in the related business area and strong knowledge of business systems and processes for the related area. ? Strong understanding of Project Management Methodology and Product Development Methodology is required. ? Solid demonstrated proficiency using PC skills, MS Suite products and using a flowcharting tool (e.g., ABC Flowcharter). ? Work experience designing business processes, process mapping, working on process improvement initiatives and business system design. ? Analytically use facts and available information to develop logical assumptions and direct their attention to detail of the task at hand in order to avoid making mistakes? Make decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, knowledge, experience, team input and judgment in a timely manner. ? Ask good questions and probe all sources for answers in their problem solving efforts. ? Analyze and strive to understand why problems occur and effectively use a systematic approach to manage projects (e.g. Project Management Methodology). ?
