Job Title: Sr. Data Modeler

Location: Raleigh, NC

Client is in need of a Senior Data Modeler/Architect to assist in the support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse initiative. This position was created to assist the current modeler on the project who is creating the logical views and then passing them on to the Senior Modeler/Architect to create Physical views. Client uses universal or "purchased" data models as their enterprise information model. The consultant will be expanding on this "enterprise model". The model includes traditional health care subject areas; member, provider, product, claim information, etc.

Skills Needed:

10 + years of overall database modeling experience.
Min. of 3-5 years of "Physical data modeling" applying entity-relational, Dimensional third normal form techniques ERWIN

The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience:
1. Strong Dimensional 3rd Normal Forms Modeling skills( 3-4 years) ( with a proven track record around: Conformed Dimensions, Building Complex Hierarchies and Large slowly changing Dimensions)
2. Strong experience in modeling Data warehouse and Data Marts.
3. Strong skills in gathering information requirements needed to build Dimension to Fact Matrix. 5- 10 yrs. experience
4. Strong ANSI SQL skills - ( recursion, stored procedures and strong skills in building Complex views)
5. Extensive experience in building Models for OLAP reporting.
6. Teradata or UDB experience - nice to have
7. Healthcare experience - nice to have
