Sr. SQL Server OLTP Database Developer Location: TX
Duration: 3months Rate: $45/hr CTC * MAX * PS then F2F Required Skills: * Understand advanced database design principles and have worked extensively with Microsoft SQL Server. * 2+ years experience designing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server systems. * 2+ years experience designing high throughput systems. (i.e. million transaction / hour) * Experience designing distributed data systems * Experience designing backup data centers * Experience with replication is a plus. . Strong performance, diagnostic, and query tuning skills. * 2+ years of building and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server relational databases. * A working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Clustered Environments. * Full understanding of common coding standards, configuration management, and full life cycle systems development Preferred: * Knowledge of UML and the Unified Process for software development, database design software (Erwin) * Working knowledge of replication configuration management tools and MS Visual Studio is desired. * Ability to prepare and implement programming specifications * Design and construct databases based on user requirements; and maintains systems through testing, implementation and life cycle support, including enhancing with new capabilities, repairing defects and monitoring database performance.
