Thanks to Leonardo for tipping me off to the nameless virus I seem to have
inadvertently spread. I've just spent 3 hours deleting 3300 infected files
from my computer with the latest update from McAfee VirusScan. Nearly all
had a .jpg.vbs extension, but they were scattered through countless folders.
I've never had such a nasty virus. As near as I can tell, the only people
who received it from me were Scott Claus, Leonardo, and Jim Gorman. But
there may be others. I cannot guarantee it didn't go out on the USMA list. I
don't know how I got this virus, since I never open unsolicited attachments,
or attachments from unknown people, or any suspicious graphics. I never
attach unsolicited items to e-mails, and I strongly agree that that should
be a firm rule on this list.
