I've seen two conflicting reports. BBC Online says he 'faces a maximum
fine of £1,000 on each of two offences and court costs estimated to
run up to £60,000.' Perhaps that hasn't been updated.

Who was also up on charges of brawling :-)

As I've just told BB Radio Leeds, he was not charged with breaking EU
law, as that is an impossibility.
