Subject: [USMA:12279] A Call to Brita

Hello everyone,

Out of curiosity, I measured the amount of water the filter (primary)
chamber could hold in my Brita pitcher. I discovered that it holds exactly
one liter; so, I called Brita. I asked the Brita representative if the
designers of their pitcher intentionally created it with metrics in mind.
"I think you're right," he said, "Let me check." I waited milliseconds and
then, "Sir? Yes, yes they did." "Well!" dumfounded, I groped for the
correct interjection but downshifted to a Regan-esque introduction. "Well,
well.thank you!" I then pulled myself together and was able to redeem the
quirky converse to delightful discourse.

After several minutes, the Brita representative assured me that he would
pass on my comments to their marketing department, which he was more than
happy to do. He then took my name, number, and address and said that I
would receive a reply to my comments soon along with a list of all their
products that support the metric system.

Give the people of Brita a call at 1-800-24-Brita or go to their website
(www.Brita.com) and e-mail them.
