I just noticed something interesting on Amazon.com.
They were advertizing the Palm Vx Handheld and gave
its dimensions as:
4.7 by 3.2 inches square and 0.4 inches thick
These numbers, especially the 0.4 in, seemed very
suspicious to me. So I changed them to cm, and
whaddaya know, they come out as (after some minor
rounding):
12 x 8 x 1 cm
- which are obviously the real numbers the designers
had in mind! Does anyone know anything about the Palm
company? Are they American? Are they a subsidiary of
some larger corporation?
