2001-05-25 Whenever I go to Subway, I never ask for the sandwiches by inch sizes. I always ask for large or small. Even the Chinese Restaurants that use pints and quarts, again I ask for large and small. In Venezuela, the Pizza Hut had four sizes all named in Spanish as small, medium, large and super. If you didn't know how big that was, they had a wooden model of each size to look at. No mention of either inches or centimtros. But, the McDonalds in Barquisimeto did sell quarter-pounders called 'cuarto de libra". I have no idea if the "libra" was American (454 g), old Spanish (? g), or metric (500 g). So, you can get around the inches and ounces by asking for large, medium or small. No one ever questioned that. John Keiner ist hoffnungsloser versklavt als derjenige, der irrtmlich glaubt frei zu sein. There are none more hopelessly enslaved then those who falsely believe they are free!
