While in Venezuela, I was given a small notepad to take some notes when
needed. The front of the pad says: Block de Notas

At the bottom of the pad is the following information:

50 Hojas/Sheets/Folhas
White Bond Paper / Papel bond Blanco
55 g/m / 14.6 LB
7.5 x 130 mm / 3.0 x 5.1 inch

CARIBE.

You can visit the web site of this company at http://www.capaco.com

It is the Caracas Paper Company and the site is available in English and
Spanish

http://www.capaco.com/ofpapeles.asp will take you to the Spanish Language
section of their paper products. All paper densities are in pounds. In
Spanish, the word libra does not appear. It is called "base de 20" for 20
lb paper.

http://www.capaco.com/english/ofpapeles.asp is the English site where the
lb is everywhere to be found.

Those who can read & write Spanish might want to write to them and have them
change their paper density ratings in both English and Spanish to show grams
per square metre.

John

Keiner ist hoffnungsloser versklavt als derjenige, der irrtmlich glaubt
frei zu sein.

There are none more hopelessly enslaved then those who falsely believe they
are free!

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)
