In Canada, it could be expanded, as Canada is more metric. Petrol is in
litres, whereas it is in gallons in the US. Road signs are metric, whereas
in the US it isn't. Weather is in metric, where it is not in the US, and
most important, everything sold in a grocery store is labeled mostly in
metric, albeit not entirely rational, but well over 90 % FFU free. The
scales are in kilograms.
And on and on.

This has the makings of a really good - and powerful - letter. I will mull
on it and get back to you with some thoughts.
My first reaction was to think of an old couple from Canada who received a
very positive letter from Marcus Berger after they responded (negatively
about metric) to Greg Peterson. Your letter would be ideal for them and for
similar situations.
