This was just an answer from one of them. The webmaster forwarded the mail
to others for answers. Delaney knows that I am a metric villain and if the
others are informed, they may remain silent. Yet, first I want to wait for
some more answers from others on that list. When I am in Ireland I will
monitor what comes. If not, then I will have to send them an answer, that
will include John's message.

It was from "Joseph B. Fox" [EMAIL PROTECTED] ; see other e-mail
addresses below.

They might not like to answer Johns's third question as they would shoot
themselves in the foot. It is a trap and they may know everything about it,
even if they spout nonsense on their three sites and the Inch Perfect one
about the length of King's arms, Three Barly Corns, round and dry, etc. etc.

That question was in USMA 13764:

3.) How does the BWMA define the foot, inch, pound etc.? Does the
organization u accept the present "official" definition of the units as
0.3048 m, 0.0254 m, 0.4536... kg, etc.? If the BWMA doesn't accept the
"official" definitions, how does it account for any errors that will exist
between their definitions and the "official" versions?

Han

Han,

They didn't answer the questions asked. Can you prod them! They completely
avoided the important issues.

John
