A good example of a company that is switching to metric due to market demand.
BTW, we should include them in the Metric Vendor List!!!!

This company is a market leader in hardware for packaging conveyors which includes,
guide rails, flat chain, conveyor legs, etc. etc.

This market was predominantly dominated by ifp as most chains and flat chains are hard
ifp.

Most of our packaging equipment has some Valu-Guide rails in it. I have also seen
European lines with these components. I guess they are a sort of standard and until
today I considered them like on of those giants that want to push ffu into the world.

I had even found a similar Italian manufacturer but when I researched it better I
found that they were "sister companies".

To cut the story short, today I found out with surprise that not only they have a
metric line and catalog but all their trademarked parts come with metric threads ONLY
even in the US. One rarely finds a US company that has hard metric behind the curtain
and ifp in the front.
Also, all their new products come in metric sizes only. One of the thing that remains
is the typical 1/2" rod used in fastening the railings. However in the metric catalog
this is replaced by a 12 mm rod. I have some understanding to the fact that for the US
market they are forced to still market the 1/2" one for some time.
