In the Netherlands we have the same distinction as in French, splitting the
meaning of the English term 'quantity'.

1. French is 'grandeur', Dutch is 'grootheid'.
The 'grootheid' of length is measured by the meter.

2. 'Quantit�' in French, 'hoeveelheid' in Dutch.
A 'hoeveelheid' of 100 L.
