That's because it's not, in fact, complete.

Apparently, it was fragmented (split over two lines) and you have not
reproduced the second line in your message. Some email software preserves
the entire URL; most does not, simply making an (incomplete) link out of the
first line and presenting the second line as if it were ordinary text..
