The use of the metre per second as you describe is brilliant.  It would be a
great idea for all cars to have dual scales, kilometres per hour for long
distance driving, and metres per second for brake and manoeuvre time.  And
if all cars had to have both scales by law, then it would be impossible to
add the FFU on them.
