No, and even if the use of cardinal points is much less important on
European roads than in the USA, it may create confusions : I was last
week in Begium with a touring bus. The driver had to pass round
Brussels via the "ring ouest" (west ring in French). He took the "O
ring", but it was the east one ("Ost ring" in Flemish)...
