This is what I wrote in USMA 19026:

"The Germans will write km/h, and they sometimes say 'kah em ha', they leave
out the 'pro' in the *short form*; they say *in full* Kilometer pro Stunde.
I have heard and seen it on German TV."

No mention of Kilometer-Stunde,

Subject: [USMA:19053] German km/h

Hi,

The most common expression is Stundenkilometer and, less often, Kilometer
pro Stunde for km/h.
I never heard or used Kilometer-Stunde, as was suggested by the Dutch
gentleman, but I lived in southern Germany.
