Dear Madan, as I've already indicated "somewhenelse" I have no problem/qualms with people using nicknames for SI units, like the liter. In essence I agree with your comment in principle. On the other hand, the more people realize what the liter really is the more they'd be prone to at least be mindful of what it really is, the cubic decimeter. Therefore, please don't feel I'd be pressuring you or anyone else to use dm3 necessarily. Certainly NOT the 86,400 second thing! :-) Take care.
