Metric Conversion Act Anniversary
On December 23, 1975, one of the most useless acts of
Congress was passed. This was Public Law 94-168, the Metric Conversion Act of
1975. It declared that the metric system of units will be America�s basic
system of measurement and established the U.S. Metric Board. The board is
responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of voluntary
conversion to the metric system.
We have been trying for a long time now to get a member of
the U.S. Metrics Board to be on the National Council of Dull Men.
