Spot on, Jonathan. Now where do we go from here? It seems that only massive efforts will succeed, such as conventions in expensive hotels, or government buildings (such as NIST's meeting on Nov 7). Such work is prohibitive for most of us, let alone the expense, so we have to rely on organised groups to get the ball rolling. Will our NIST members be meeting up with other pro-metric attendees to perhaps form a stronger group to arrange more forums? Each forum should, by rights, attract more pro-metric people and it should snowball from there. Can Jim F enlighten us please if this is happening? I know it's extremely time-consuming to arrange forums and most of us would rather sit and type ideas for this list than go out and arrange forums, but positive results are only the result of effort and so far our NIST and USMA executive should get gold medals for their achievements so far. Writing letters to companies is one thing, but so much more effective when you are part of a well-recognised entity. Regards Mike
