As for the units themselves, I am a little curious about the 30 km/h limit in NL. This seems excessively restrictive. Do people actually drive at that speed, or is it common for drivers to exceed it ? Whereas I can see that 30 km/h would be sensible on some of the tiny canalside roads in Amsterdam, it doesn't seem appropriate for normal two lane roads (except in front of a school).
