Dear friends:
So long as we understand and are clear in 'differentiating' between *Decimal and Metric*, things are OK. But, there is bound to a furter delay if we insist to 'keep the confusion on minds'!

No, Brij, I read all e-mails first before deleting them.

The issue of defining Time in the SI system is fait accompli. It's 60,60,24
and that's it.

USMA is there to IMPLEMENT the SI system, not to change it, so please let's
not clutter up the list with philosophy, religion and abstract stuff.

Stick to how we can get companies, media and education metricated in the
US.

If you're more interested in metricating time then join

Regards

Mike

| Hi Mike:
| I think I have harped enough, in differentiating between *Metric and
| Decimal*. I assume you have been deleting mail without reading. Here is
food
| for thought:
| "Metric, pertaining to or of the metre; -system, decimal measuring
system
| with the metre, & litre and the gram determined by it, as the units of
| length, capacity and weight; the prefixing to the metre etc., of the
Greek
| derived 'deca-, hecto-, kilo-'denoting multiplication
| by 10,100,1000 as in kilometre of 1000 metres; that of Latin derived
| 'deci-, centi-, milli-, denoting division by 10, 100, 1000 as in
decilitre,
| one-tenth of a litre".
| Why do you wish to continue with the 'confusion' between *decimals and
| metric*? Naturally, US is not limited to YOU only.
