As far as this list goes it was. To comment that we use base 10 because
some god programmed it into our brain needed a response such as mine.
On a personal basis, I do believe that Aliens have visited and continue to
visit this world. That, in times past, they are gods of our myths and
legends. Our primitive ancestors, not having any knowledge of science or
how nature functions envisioned these highly developed creatures as
supernatural gods. But, in reality they were/are just as natural as we are,
subject to the same laws of nature as we are. They just figured out the
laws long before we did.
If the tales from the past tell us the gods created us, who is to say that
creatures of advanced scientific knowledge didn't have the knowledge to
create advanced life forms from simple building blocks using techniques of
genetic engineering? We as humans are just learning how to manipulate
genes. Anyone who has the power to travel in space would be advanced enough
to have perfected genetic engineering to a point of being able to either
create new life after their own pattern or significantly alter what had
evolved her naturally.
Evolution is always looking for missing links. Those links may not exist if
there was tampering with the natural evolution of life here on earth. There
is really no way we can prove at this point in time as to whether such
things did or did not happen.
But, at this time in our existence it really doesn't make a difference that
we exist because of evolution or Alien re-engineering. The fact is we are
here and we have a purpose to fulfil and that purpose is to metricate that
which is resisting metrication now.
