While looking at microwave ovens at Lowe's yesterday, I noticed that at
least one Sharp microwave oven (with a "Sensor Cooking" feature --- for
moisture given off by the food) allows one to change the units of
measurement from pounds to other units. The oven was not plugged in and
the manual wasn't very explicit, but I imagine this allows one to
specify the mass of the food to be thawed or cooked in kilograms.

Yes, the model I bought can do that (Sharp model R-630DSA). Unfortunately, it can't be set to the 24 hour clock -- I don't know if any can.
