2003 January 24 Hey, folks, this is a metric site. Electric units are all metric so there is no metric issue for this site to discuss. Voltage is a matter of standards. Please take this discussion elsewhere.
Besides some of you do not know US standards. 110 V went out maybe
60 years ago. It is all 120 V. In addition 240 V service always has a
neutral so lamps in appliances do not need a transformer.
