Marcus and all,

About their absence there is nothing on their site. Over the years after
2000 there are only two entries on 'metric' on their site when using Search.
But in their Mid Year Report 1999, p. 28-29, they pretended to support
optional metric labelling in the USA. It is a pdf document. Indeed, I would
ask why didn't they attend this forum?
I will keep all material on this issue in a special map, to be used whenever
necessary.

BTW: the BWMA is also whetting its knives for 2010. It is on their site:
http://www.bwma.org
They want to challenge the directive in the courts.

This blatant demonstration of hypocrisy cannot go unnoticed!!!

Mrs. Young sent the present issue of MT with the item about my promotion to
me. Thanks you very much, Mrs. Young.
However, I also read the article about optional metric only labelling. One
organization shines brightly through its absence. Among the list of
participants, who also included EU officials, I could not discover our dear
friends from TABD, the ones who promised to support optional metric-only
labelling if the EU would be so kind to delay its directive. Well, well! I
can only hope that the EU officials noted their absence as well and will
remember that when 2010 looms.
