NPR can be assessed at www.npr.org, most shows are not at all metric, but when they have a foreign person or correspondent on the phone, all the units are metric, no one makes any effort to convert to non metric units, I would suppose that most listeners to NPR are intelligent enough to understand what is being said.
The United Airlines in flight magazine "Hemispheres" mailing address is Pace communications, 1301 Carolina St. Greensboro NC 27401. www.hemispheresmagazine.com. Normally they feature some destination that is dual unit if not completely metric. This months story was on Hawaii and was entirely inch pound. Every time I fly on United (roughly 4 times a month) I listen to the destination temperature announcement by the pilot. If it's Fahrenheit only, I will push my attendant button and ask the flight attendant to find out what the Celsius temperature is. This way I'm hoping that pilot will learn that there is someone in the back who wants Celsius, hopefully they will give it next time. I've found that older pilots are more of a problem here.
