>From the NIST website, I was able to link to the Metric Methods website. I noticed the website had some information on the FPLA. I also noticed it is the website of someone who posts to this list server; Jim Frysinger.
I noticed that there is a regulation known as the UPLR (click here: HYPERLINK "http://www.metricmethods.com/UPLR.html" HYPERLINK "http://www.metricmethods.com/UPLR.html" http://www.metricmethods.com/UPLR.html), which already makes metric only labeling legal in most states despite the FPLA. The reason I am bringing this up here, is that Jim’s chart seems to be about 2.5 years old and there is some information that was pending at the time. I was wondering if Jim has any further information on the 21 states that are listed as planned, pending and “no response to date”. It is ironic that 7 states are preventing the whole country from allowing metric only labels from being implemented without the consent of the FPLA. Euric --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
