Along with the posts re automotive matters, I test drove a new Dodge pickup truck (I hate to be seen in such a gas guzzler, but we need a truck for hauling) and it had a computer display with a button to switch to metric.  I didn't get a chance to carefully explore it, but the fuel economy readout changed to L/100 km, and the temperature changed to degrees C.   HARRY WYETH
