I just retrieved a small bag of "Schultz Professional Potting Soil Plus (for
African Violets & Flowering Plants)" from my garage.

Both mass and volume are specified. It says "Net Wt. 1.9 LBS (870 g)" and
"Net contents 4 Dry Qt (4.4 L)." The first is on a stick-on label. I peeled
it off, revealing "Net Wt. 2.4 lb (1.09 kg)," which was obviously an
erroneous value.

The Schultz Company is in Bridgeton, Missouri. As far as I remember, I
bought it at Home Depot.

(Crazy thought: Would Schultz Amateur Potting Soil be cheaper?)
