I would do more then that. I would contact this person's supervisor
personally and complained of this instructors "unprofessionalism".  And if
you paid a fee, I'd demand my money back!  Then inform them you would never
recommend their services again.

Out of curiosity, can you tell us what type of comments he made?

I've been in a class with an instructor from Kansas (a former metric state).
Since its a Federal sponsored class it is in metric and SI. Unfortunately
the instructors take every opportunity to joke about and insult metric. I
plan to be very critical of this on my evaluation form tomorrow. It is still
nice to see the class material though in metric.
