In a continuing discussion of Iraq with my folks, siblings, and kids I have provided this link. It is the product of USAID, which is part of the State Department. http://www.usaid.gov/iraq/updates/may04/iraq_fs31_051104.pdf The file size is 374 KiB, which might help you decide whether to download it. Or you can go to the web page http://www.usaid.gov/iraq/ and directly read one section at a time.
I'm delighted to note that so far everything I have read in there is given entirely in metric units. I have yet to see any "translation" into American Hodgepodge Units. Gratuitous political comment: I'm also delighted, of course, that things are going so well in Iraq. It's too bad the public media presents mostly the bad news. I doubt that a lack of reporters' knowledge about the metric system is the culprit. Jim -- James R.
