Been watching the Science Channel some more (interesting earth science programs) and have noticed that the British scientists seem to consistently say "kill-AH-mih-ter" instead of "KILL-oh-mee-ter" and regularly say "Centigrade" instead of "Celsius". (I find the latter a bit more surprising than the former in this day and age.) Anyone familiar with British scientific usage to back that up or contradict it?
