I hope that it will be possible to buy it on the Internet. I bought his first book many years ago  and it is splendid; I am looking forward to buy his second volume.

In fact I used his book for my thesis about Dutch metrication, to compare the old ways and the new ways of weighing and measuring.

Subject : [USMA:30434] Prof Robin Connor's new book
Prof Robin Connor, who wrote the definitive 'Weights and Measures of
England' (sadly out of print for quite a few years) has sent me the following,
about the companion volume, 'Weights & Measures of Scotland'. Prof Connor has
been at the Univ of Manitoba for many years, but hails from Scotland.

The WMS is to be published on 12 August by Nat Mus of Scotland at the Museum
of Scotland with much pagentry in Edinburgh. My wife and I will be
attending. The price for the present is 45 which is not bad for about 800
pages, 8 pages in colour and 200 black & white photos. Apparently no expense
has been spared. The Historiagrapher Royal for Scotland has written the
introduction. As said I will be back in touch on my return. Best regards,
 Robin
