I can answer your first two questions. The answer is NO. Not one person I met who has made similar "comments" on the movie has seen it. Yet, because someone else has filled their head with propaganda they claim to know what the films are all about. I find that very dangerous to let some else make up my mind for me. That is how people eventually end up in concentration camps.

At least if I end up in one, I will know why. But pity those who are there and really think it was all a mistake. Unfortunately their cries will fall on deaf ears.

That leads me to two simple questions. Have you seen any of his movies, Jim?
Have you read any of his books?

I've seen two and read two. If I hadn't, I couldn't and wouldn't comment on
any of them.

I'll leave it at that, before Don Hillger calls me on continuing with an
off-topic topic.

BIll posted his off-topic opinion, so I'll post mine: Michael Moore is a lying, hypocritcal sleaze. You can't believe squat about anything in his movies, as he makes things up out of whole cloth, grossly distorts what people tell him to suit his own ends, juxtaposes scenes to imply entirely fictional sequences, etc.

Celsius 41.11 is a well-needed exposition of the plethora of lies
of Michael Moore.

This thread is about as off-topic as any can get, so I'll try to limit my
postings on it to the following.

It's pro-Bush thing, along with being an attack on Michael Moore.

Moore is quoted out of context. As I remember, his point was a statistical
one -- with about 200,000 Americans already dying each year from
preventable
causes, along with the fact that the probability of any one of us
dying in a
terrorist attack is extremely small. Moore wasn't saying we
shouldn't fight
terrorists and try to eliminate them. In fact, one of the points
he has made
is that Iraq was a serious distraction from Afghanistan and the War on
Terror generally -- including securing our ports, nuclear power stations,
dams, etc., etc. He has also criticized fear mongering. And, of
course, the
scenes shown in Celsius 41.11 are not from Moore's movie (and at least one
looks as if it might have been staged -- possibly during a bona fide
demonstration), but the audience is probably meant to assume that
they are.

By the way, he employed a veritable army of fact checkers for Fahrenheit 9/11. One can disagree with his opinions (although he does more
juxtaposing
of events than expressions of opinion -- leaving the audience to
draw their
own conclusions and form their own opinions), but his facts are well
supported and thoroughly researched. (Those who have seen the
movie will be
well aware of that. Those who haven't seen it really need to do so before
forming an opinion about it.)

From the Trailer, they claim 41.11C is the temperature the brain
begins to
die. 40C is a very high body temperature and a body temperature
above that
results in eventual death. Thus the significance of the "41".
The "0.11"
part is just added to equate it with the 9.11 of the Fahrenheit movie.

It is humour. But I'm not sure if it is an attack on Michael Moore or
George Bush. It is a shame that so many Americans believe that
the threat
of terrorism is external in origin, instead of being the brain child of
certain diabolic groups operating within national organisations
of the US.
Wolves in sheep's clothing. The goal of the attacks of 9.11 were to
frighten us into surrendering our freedoms for "safety and
security" and the
goal of the Patriot Acts is to nullify the Constitution. If
Hitler was able
to deceive the Germans into backing him, I see no reason why the
Bush club
wouldn't do the same. If it worked once, it will work again and
again. I
wonder if metric will be used in the FEMA concentration camps.

Anyway, I did a Google search:

Drifting off to sleep, and I'm not sure I understand this little ad on
