Apologies.  Subject corrected.

That returns a Page Not Found.  So effectively contractors must submit plans
in Colonial units ?  I seem to remember that someone on this list quoted
a federal regulation preventing state or government bodies from refusing to
accept metric units (it arose in the case of somebody demanding a state DOT
accepting his height in meters for a driving license) ?  Could this be used
to challenge the Caltrans position ?

How does this affect Federal construction (or is all federal funded road
construction done via the individual states) ?
