There is a scene in the popular movie "Sideways"
(sometimes funny, but not really a great flick) where one of two buddies has
been caught fooling around with the wife of a tough guy and is forced to
run away naked cross-country to a motel room they are sharing.
He is freezing cold, and after being let into the motel room they have an
interchange including something like "... but that must have been five klicks
that you ran!", which the other one affirms in like terms.
Anyone have a clue where this came from?
There is absolutely no metric reference anywhere else in the film.
